Andrew Karolyi, professor of finance and global business and alumni chair in asset management, received the Faculty Research Award, given annually to a member of our faculty in recognition of outstanding research contributions and achievements. Karolyi is an internationally known scholar in the area of investment management, with a specialization in the study of international financial markets. He has published in numerous finance and economics journals and his research has been covered extensively in the popular press. He leads various executive education programs in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, and is actively involved in consulting with corporations, banks, investment firms, and stock exchanges. In 2010, Karolyi was elected president of the Financial Management Association International and will serve his term in 2011-2012.
