Leaf Van Boven
Leaf Van Boven is a new assistant professor of marketing and psychological scientist who studies the interrelation between judgment, emotion, and choice among consumers, managers, and other people in everyday life, his teaching interests are in marketing management and consumer behavior. Van Boven's research interests are twofold: The first concerns how emotions influence judgments and choices, and how judgments and choices influence emotions; the second examines people's intuitive theories about judgment, emotion, and choice in themselves and in other people. Van Boven received his PhD in psychology (with a minor in behavioral economics) from Cornell University. He has served as an assistant professor of marketing at the University of British Columbia, an assistant professor of psychology at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a visiting assistant professor of behavioral science at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business.
