Elizabeth "Beta" Mannix


Elizabeth "Beta" Mannix, Ann Whitney Olin Professor of Management, and Robert S. Harrison Director of Cornell's Institute for the Social Sciences, was named the university's vice provost for equity and inclusion. In her new role, Mannix will oversee programs associated with many of Cornell's diversity initiatives, including the faculty summer institute for diversity and the Breaking Bread program. In addition, Mannix was awarded the Johnson School's Faculty Research Award, the highest faculty research honor. In her research, Mannix analyzes topics such as diversity in organizations and teams, power and alliances, negotiation and conflict, and organizational change and renewal.
