GE Joins Corporate Partners Program for Emerging Markets Institute
Campus efforts highlight the importance of emerging markets and global MBA curriculum

The Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University announces that GE has joined the Corporate Partners Program for its Emerging Markets Institute (EMI). The partnership will enable the Institute and GE to further thought leadership through research and understanding of the rapidly expanding role of emerging markets in the global economy.
“We are pleased to welcome GE as a Corporate Partner, and believe our work can be vital to helping achieve the firm’s goals in emerging markets,” said Richard Coyle, MBA ’86, executive director of EMI. “In addition, we want to involve the company closely in the ongoing growth and development of the institute, to make sure we remain relevant to the needs of business.”
Mark Hutchinson, President and CEO of GE China, who previously lectured at the institute, added, “We are excited to partner with EMI at Cornell, and look forward to being a part of its mission to help develop the business leaders of tomorrow. GE will join BISSELL Homecare, Inc. and Citi in the EMI Corporate Partners Program. Through various projects and initiatives, partners benefit from the collaborative, knowledge-driven mission of the institute.
